Overview

Incorporated in 1993 and registered with the Department of Social Welfare in 1996Home of Peace Kuala Lumpur is a home for girls from underprivileged backgrounds. It aims to create a caring environment where the girls may fully develop, as normal children would in the care of their parents in a loving home. In 2013, the Home started its homeschooling programme which caters to the children’s targeted educational needs, some of whom have never been registered in public schools. In the Home’s experience, homeschooling creates an environment and curriculum that allow focused, one-on-one attention from teachers. The school is run by fulltime teachers and aided by a group of committed volunteers, and a total of 16 girls and one boy are currently housed here.
